{"id":160,"date":"2016-11-04T07:19:57","date_gmt":"2016-11-04T07:19:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gssg.org.in\/?page_id=160"},"modified":"2023-04-04T12:36:16","modified_gmt":"2023-04-04T12:36:16","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/gssg.org.in\/index.php\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #ff99cc;\"><strong><em>GSSG Philosophy, Vision, Mission, Goal, Aims\/Objective, Strategies and Core values:<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff99cc;\"><strong>Philosophy:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Any discrimination in name of religion, cast, race, economic and physical status of an individual is crime against humanity.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Participation and consensus building is two important wheel of community development.<\/li>\n<li>Deprived people\/group deserves empathy from the state and well off individual and organization.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Technical knowhow should be compatible to local resources and need of the people.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>Vision: <\/strong><\/span>GSSG is envisioned to form a just society in which all individuals are equally treated where discrimination is not prevailed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>Mission<\/strong>:<\/span> Our Mission is to enable the disadvantaged section of society for leading a dignified life through raising their quality standards of life.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>Goal:<\/strong><\/span> Our goal is to build the capacities of the vulnerable and marginalized communities for their holistic empowerment with special focus on addressing the issues of poor health and hygiene, discrimination, social exclusion, poverty and unemployment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p><em><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-pink-color\"><strong>Aims and Objective:<\/strong> <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"I\"><li>To enhance the Skills and capacity of vulnerable communities for their sustainable livelihood promotion, poverty alleviation and creation of employment.<\/li><li>To ensure the women\u2019s empowerment through organizing women in SHGs so that they can promote self-help and benefits from microfinance programs as well as through imparting vocational skills.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li><li>To promote literacy and education for the drop-out and out of school children for graduating them in Govt. Schools and to ensure the protection of child rights.<\/li><li>To improve the health, nutrition and sanitation behavior of vulnerable Communities to reduce their disease burden and expenditure through Reproductive &amp; Child Health (RCH) management, Vaccination and WASH initiatives, other healthcare needs.<\/li><li>To develop the knowledge, behavior and skills of the communities through different training and capacity building exercises on different thematic subjects related to community development.<\/li><li>To establish coordination and convergence with different national, international, corporate, Govt. Departments and others for augmenting the benefits to the communities.<\/li><li>To raise the quality of life of people through healthcare, education, skills development, livelihood promotion, microfinance and environment upgradation.<\/li><li>To strengthen the PRIs\/ULBs and address the issues of local self-governance for making them transparent, accountable and ensuring the democratic functioning at grassroot level.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span class=\"has-inline-color has-pale-pink-color\"><strong>GSSG Strategy and Approaches: Following are GSSG strategies that contribute to our mandate which are matching with the UN led SDG goals.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a. Understanding priorities of the communities through micro assessment and planning designing programs in particular areas and workout the possible alternative solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>b. <\/strong>We believe in nation building and value patriotism as a cross cutting agenda in all our actions and programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>c.<\/strong> We develop and strengthen local leadership engaged in community development. The people\u2019s participation in all our programs is essential component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>d.<\/strong> We specially focus on vulnerable and marginal communities in particular and backward people in general. We organize communities in groups for developing a sense of patriotism and service to nation and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>d. <\/strong>We approach government and other service providers as complementary entity for people\u2019s empowerment efforts towards society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>e. <\/strong>We involve the PRIs\/ULBs in all our program planning, implementation and monitoring of the activities as well as we also provide our technical support and guidance in their planning, budgeting and implementation of a few missing subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>f.<\/strong> We liaison and network with the Govt.
